Oh well, A Girl’s Gotta Dream..

Time to write a new post as fiancé is having nightmare imagining I’m Mohinder Suresh! (I supposed Hello Kitty doesn’t turn him off as badly)

And I guess at some point I’ll start ranting about my wedding preparation as the stress level builds up, so why not start now. Btw, no, no date yet still.. let’s just say we target a year from now. Too early to plan? I thought so too until I found out there are people out there who have booked their event venues, found their gowns and done the whole works, just waiting for the day to arrive a year later. Where did they find the time to do so? And next, after some preliminary calculation, the estimated budget is way beyond our bank accounts balance.

This is when the idea of eloping sounds extremely tempting. You won’t mind, right? If we don’t invite you to the wedding? (if I do invite you, that is if there’s a wedding here at all, no offence, but can I request for ang pows and no gift please? :P)

Every little girl dreams of being a princess when playing Barbies. Many of us have envisioned all things pretty and fairy-tale like wedding when Prince Charming comes along..

It’s the stuff of little girl’s dreams, isn’t it?

Sigh..

Reality is.. I simply cannot afford my dream wedding!

So ok, be focus, keep it simple. One thing at a time. And the plan is (mine anyway) to do all the research and gather as much info, work out an ideal plan (not too over the top unrealistic), and prioritize, negotiate, or cut if have to, to work within budget. Not very different from what I do daily at work eh? Sounds manageable enough.

That is until I heard what darling fiancé had in mind. With his definition of keeping the wedding simple, I saw the remaining fraction of my little girl’s dream tumbled...
