Mine was a whole day affair that started off in the morning when darling picked me up from home and we headed to an oh-so-secretive destination, where I generally had this OMG look in my face, in fear of all the public attention I was to endure.
It started off fairly innocent as we reached our destination...
Spa for total relaxation! Yippee!!
It was a much needed relaxation indeed, what with all the stress at work and the anticipation of the wedding at that time.
Besides the sauna, dipping in pool and massage (and swapping latest gossips), we spent a lot of time catching up on reading magazines and eating..
Yes, we ate.. Loads
Finally, hours later, we wrapped up the spa outing with a mani and pedicure which was to last me till the wedding day (knowing me, of course they chipped a bit and all but I couldn't be bothered or didn't have time to redo anyway)
And all these at the expense of the girls - THANK YOU so much to each of you.

But the day did not end there for I was driven to yet another unannounced destination (psst.. but I overheard them though.. hahaa)
That was when the other girls joined in..
And they produced their props for the bride-to-be (and my OMG-face returned). 'Cause no hen night is complete without embarrassing ridiculous fashion accessories.
That, my dears, is a bunny ears and tail in purple as of my wedding theme colour.
With accessories in place, the prank began.
Next, we headed to a convenience store.
Which brand is better?? Look closer...
It took them a long time to decide before making one single purchase.
Wtf! I had to sell these to strangers?!
They have painstakingly chosen a PURPLE packaging!
If you think that was an easy task, think again. We walked along Telawi streets and were stared at and wolf-whistled (thanks to my bunny ears), but the moment I asked any guy if they were willing to purchase the condoms off my hands, they RAN off. Yes, literally rushed off as if late for an appointment with their mother-in-law. Of course I explained it was a prank on my hen night and I was getting married blah blah blah... but the guys just turned red and switched off as if being caught red-handed by their girlfriends for involving in sex activities! Can you believe it? That's Malaysian mentality for you.
So after lepaking for the longest time on the streets, we approached this table of men.
With much convincing and rounds of questions 'what if my wife finds out.. what will my girlfriend thinks... etc etc', and discussion amongst themselves, they each started to dig out their wallets and chipped in - woohoo!!! Earned a few bucks from the sale too.
Task accomplished, we adjourned immediately to familiar territory..
Yay! Shopping..

While I couldn't bring myself to add on to the credit on my cards bearing in mind it was 'wedding preparation' stage, I snapped endless silly photos to amuse myself and to remember this day by.
The day went on as I was chauffeured back home (my to-be-home then) for another surprise. I was tricked in a way to find out that the girls have somehow convinced hubby to leave home for a couple of hours AND before that, enslaved to cook us all a meal!

.. plus some cakes for them to celebrate my belated birthday! Awww... so touched
Boo and Cellie cleaning up after dinner. Ya, a bit skeptical to have Boo washing the plates.. you know, she has string of maids doing all that for her at home all her life.
We did finally move on to planning and finalizing the games to be played on the groom on wedding day having gathering almost all the bridesmaids together. (Yes, one of these days I might get on to recapping the wedding too.. when I get to that)
Once again, I would like to thank every one of you for the memorable day and again, for helping out on the wedding. And sweetheart, thank you for the contribution on this day too.
I know the girls (especially MOH and darling) had been conspiring hard and long in throwing me the hen day despite everyone's busy schedule. I am truly grateful, if not for the fun, then for the one in a lifetime experience. With that, I am therefore offering my service in planning and organizing the night of her life surrounded by her girlfriends for the one who is next-in-line*. Well, I don't have to be part of your entourage, but I can source ideas and organize it for you :)
