Nope. Not mine.
Side note : American calls it Bachelorette party, it’s Stagette party if you’re Canadian and the English call it a Hen party. Bachelorette is my personal fav :)
Last Friday, the few of us arranged a hen night for a friend, who is getting married in two weeks time. Doli didn’t want to have a hen party initially but was persuaded after we agreed to have a joined party with me. But the plans didn’t work out as some of my bridesmaids couldn’t make it and it was getting too close to her wedding to move it to following week. So we convinced her to come out for a low-key dinner get together anyway.
(sorry doli, I’m going to put loads of your pics in this post. I can’t resist it, they are too pretty and fun not to be shared)
We started out with dinner at Ole-Ole Bali at SohoKL, Solaris Mont Kiara. I didn’t know the existence of SohoKL out of no where in Mont Kiara till now (shows how much of a social life I have). Anyway, phoebe & I were late. Very late. OK! More than 2 hours late!! (reason #119 to quit our job)

I came prepared with a ‘veil’ for bride-to-be. Had it made in less than half an hour with whatever materials I could get my hands on available at home, at 1.30 in the morning (reason #120).

Ole-Ole Bali serves yummy Balinese cuisine and sitting at the alfresco dinning area with loads of pillows on wooden seats was extremely comfy and relaxing. Phoebe and mmkk managed to doze off for a bit too :)
All of us
We chatted till the restaurant closes at 12 midnite. Having the place to ourselves by then, we took the opportunity to snap away.. having doli posed all over the restaurant for a 2nd pre-wedding shoot experience (hmm.. at times like this, I really wish I have a better camera. I'm sure piper's camera has better pics than mine).
You can stand under my umbrella.. ella ella eh eh eh
More pics of bride-to-be, complete with flowers!
We had to leave when the staff started packing up and turning off the lights. Not wanting the night to end so soon, we decided to tag along with mmkk who had an event to attend. We drove in one car to Mist Club , in Bangsar.
Doli quickly stepped inside the car, to avoid passer-by looking at her with her veil
Touching up in the car
Hiding once we have arrived. There were loads of people on the street!
We walked over finally. Lil Jon was performing that night at Mist Club. Whhoo?? Lil Jon is a rap artist from Atlanta and apparently his music video is playing on MTV, if you know who. I am sorry for being completely ignorant and a non-MTV viewer (heck, I don’t even have the channel at home!).
The cover charge for ladies is RM60. mmkk of course got in free as she was in the VIP list. Our task for bride-to-be was to get the rest of us in for free!
Doli pleading.. “please let me and my gfs in. it’s my hen night, my last night of freedom before hubby locks me in and ban me from clubbing for the rest of my life”
Woohoo!! We got in and saved RM240!
During Lil Jon’s performance, all I could hear was him shouting, which was accompanied by loud thumping music. I thought, man, I’m OLD. The music’s too loud. I can’t hear anyone. It’s so crowded. And gosh, the smoke! And I’m sleepy! hahaa… I haven’t been to clubbing for a VERY long time.
Bride-to-be seemed to be enjoying herself :)
We escaped for fresh air after a while and took more photos outside with some Harley Davidson bikes (it was a co-hosted event by Harley). Oh, we even had our pic taken by the Harley’s photographer. Do you know if they have a newsletter? We were hoping he was from a publication we know so we can look out for the photo when it’s published!

I love this pic
And lastly, mmkk, this is for you
By end of night, we were exhausted but had great fun. Had not done anything slightly crazy for a long time. We hope you have had a fabulous time too, doli! (and yes, next time when miku big liao, they can definitely do kokokai nite b4 wedding too)
p/s : I feel the need to add this : Older, wiser me is more a laid back homebody nowadays, I would be happy just spending some quiet quality time if you girls are planning my bacherlorette party next. Slumber party anyone? :)
